My favorite part of campaigning is talking to people at their doors.
There’s nothing more valuable than having a real, face-to-face conversation with the people I represent. It’s where I learn the most, and it’s what keeps me grounded in the realities of our community.
Over the coming weeks, I’ll be knocking on doors across our district. I’m doing it for a simple reason: the best way to represent you is to hear directly from you.
Tell me what’s on your mind
When I show up, I want to know what’s on your mind. What are you worried about? What’s making your day-to-day life harder than it should be? What keeps you up at night?
Maybe it’s affordability and the rising cost of living. Maybe it’s energy prices and utility bills. Or maybe it’s traffic and transportation. Perhaps it’s healthcare, housing, or making sure our communities are accessible and inclusive for everyone. Whatever it is, I want to hear it, because your concerns should shape the work I do.
Ask me the hard questions
But I also want to be clear about something else. I want you to challenge me.
Ask me the hard questions. Ask me where I stand on issues that matter to you. Ask me how I’ve voted, what I believe, and what I plan to do next. Ask me what I’ll fight for, and how I’ll get it done.
You deserve straightforward answers. When you ask me a question, I will tell you exactly where I stand. Not what I think you want to hear, but what I actually believe. That’s how I have always approached this work, and it’s how I’ll continue to serve.
Public service should start with a conversation, not a monologue. It should be built on trust, honesty, and accountability.
So when you see me at your door, know this: I’m there to listen, but I’m also there to engage. Your voice matters, and your questions do too.
I hope you’ll take the opportunity to share both.
